Oh man oh man. BLIZZARD 2009. Of course, it’s not snowing in Hudson, NY, but it is BLIZZARDING on Cape Cod. Blizzarding so hard that I cannot go home. And for those of you who know me well, you know how much I freaking hate it when the weather interferes with my plans. AND we can’t even enjoy the snow, just sit here wishing it farewell.
Haha. But all is not lost. Because (drumroll) instead, C and I went shopping at the new super Walmart (hilarious) and went on a movie date to see The Blind Side. So pretty much, the movie broke my heart into ten million microscopic pieces and C just had to usher the puddle that I had become out of the theater. I mean, really. I died and then was filled with pure joy. I do not exaggerate. I love nothing more than a good football movie. Or a movie with Sandra Bullock. Or a movie that involves race relations. OR movies based on true stories. So pretty much this was an armageddon of fantastic for me. [We'll just slot it right after Remember The Titans and Love and Basketball, but before Coach Carter and that other basketball movie by the director of Remember the Titans.] In case you just have to see it again:

I mean, I’m obviously feeling a liiiiiittle sappy today, but sappy or not, the end of Uptown Girls makes me cry. Every time. And I am not ashamed.
