Happy Sunday my little smoochymclove faces. How are you? Hungover? Ugh. Me too. I think I had one too many DonQ and diet cokes. Though I will say that I NEEDED those DonQ’s to steel my nerves to fulfill one of my life goals: karaoke.
Now, I am the kind of girl who goes to karaoke, picks out a song, writes it down even, but inevitably crumple up the paper for fear of looking stupid. Above all things, I loathe “looking stupid”. I get so jealous of people who make huge mistakes and fall down flights of stairs and just get up, giggle, and smile it off.
Anywho. Long story short: last night I conquered fear no. 3736483 and performed shoop at karaoke in front of the entire island. And it was hilarious.
Do you have anything that you’ve been wanting to do for a million years but have been too scared??
Do it. You’ll smile and feel proud of yourself. Bonus points if you don’t have to hangover yourself to accomplish said goal, so that you can avoid spending all of the next day in bed watching SVU and getting tricked into eating a breakfast sandwich with mayonaise and wilty lettuce on it. EW. Only in Puerto Rico.
Also, an announcement: this will be the last Body Loving Blogosphere until April. Eeep! There will still be many many posts written (so many that you will be sick and tired of me ; ), but they will all be via graciebell, my magnificent iPhone of an assistant as I plunge further off the grid to the land of no wi-fi. If a link is so super fantastic that you must know about it ASAP I will lug stella (my dinosaur of a MacBook pro) to the restaurant and link it all up for you. I also am excited to spend more time face to face interacting with the world and give my google reader a small break.
That said – I will still be blogging on Sundays BUT it will be to bring you all manner of excitement and joy and a laundry list of everyday miracles that I experienced that week. Yay!
On to the next, here is this weeks BLBoS:
- Agent lover (!!) wrote a wonderful guest post over at Yes and Yes this week about the ever wonderful Mae West.
- Jezebel and many others are reporting on the New York magazine article in which Christina Hendricks states that she’s bored with talking about her body. Fun thing is, the picture totally makes me want to talk about her body MORE because she is so epically beautiful.
- Veronica over at Viva La Feminista wrote a touching post this week, Gender Roles to Rainbow: A Mother’s Love, about her love for motherhood and her daughter’s gender identity.
- Something that I think about a lot when writing this blog was discussed over at Blissfully Domestic this week in the post, “Are You A Human Blogger?” I hope to be…
- Brand new blog that I am LOVING: The Fat Nutritionist. She wrote a post this week that I stumbled across called, “Eat Food. Stuff you like. As much as you want.” YES.
- This week’s Support Women’s Sunday over at fbomb featured the one and only Kimya Dawson. <3 <3
Happy reading! xoxox.

I almost did karaoke for the first time last weekend, but I wasn’t drunk enough and we left right before I could be talked into it. It’s something I have to do. Good job my friend!
Ah!! It was scary. But awesome.
Dooooooooooo it.
