learning to dwell in the realm of possibility

I’m a bit of a dweller.

As in – obsesser, panic creator, incessant doubter, and all around anxiety ridden girl.

However. I’m working really hard on changing my ways. The fact of the matter is: when you expect bad things to happen – they do. But when you expect and anticipate little miracles everywhere, magic and luck seem to follow you wherever you go. And I sure do want to be one of the lucky ones.

The amazing thing about luck is that you can create it for yourself. You can manifest it, nourish it, and deliberately choose to be a person that attracts all manner of goodness and wonder into your life. You just have to choose it.

Thus, I have decided that instead of dwelling in all of my fear about the unknown, I am going to fill my brain with all that is possible instead of all that is seemingly impossible.

For example: Instead of thinking about how I’m starting grad-school in a mere six weeks, I have yet to find an apartment, I am moving to a new city, I am leaving my sweetheart behind [temporarily], I have exactly two pennies to clink together and no idea how (if?) I will be able to work/go to school simultaneously.

I am going to think about what the wood floors of my new apartment feel like under my feet, how conveniently located it is, and how much fun I’m having living in Boston, surrounded by so many people and events. I’m going to think about how interested and stimulated and busy I’m going to be learning/writing/sharing the fruits of my new education. I’m going to think about how well this blog is going, this blog that began as my secret little love letter to the universe, and how many opportunities it will afford me.

I’m going to think about what a relief it is to finally be making money off of what I’m actually good at, what makes me happy, and what I find worth waking up for in the morning.

I don’t know about you.. But I’m feeling a little lucky already.

What about you? What positive thoughts are you manifesting into your life? Are you feeling lucky?

I totally know what you mean. I started nursing school in Feb, in a foreign country taking on 63,000 in debt. I just decided that it was going to take care of itself..and it has.

Focus on what you want out of it..and you’ll get it.

I know – you are totally my hero. I think about you and your journey sometimes and smile because you are so awesome and you just go after your dreams in a way that I hope to do. It has taken care of itself? You promise? Pinky swear?

Focusing on the positive is so important sometimes, especially when you are facing some tough challenges.

For a long time I was such a pessimist and found once I changed my way of thinking to a much more positive one that life overall seemed to get better. It was like positive thinking invited positive and negative invited negative.

As far as your question right now I’m focusing on the positive thought that I can get my personal training business off the ground. I am determined to help others! And I’m feeling really lucky!

Have a great day and good luck with all the new changes in your life.

Thank you so much for all of your love for MM! It is kind of a miracle project – one that no one read for the looooongest time and now it’s on steroids. So, seriously, thank you for coming by and reading and commenting, it makes everyday so much sweeter. xox.

Thank you for the excellent reminder to focus on the positive. I tend to dwell in the negative but often find when I take time to focus on the positive, small miracles happen almost daily. For example in one week I found the perfect apartment, was able to bring together the deposit (3 months rent at once) and booked a mover.

Um. As I read your comment my heart SOARED, because I am working my hardest to manifest a prefect apartment and move into my life. THANK YOU for proving that it’s possible.

this post came at SUCH a great time for me. I recently have been told I’m getting laid off at the end of the year (my whole dept is being shut down), so have been job searching, but haven’t applied or done anything about it because I keep focusing on the qualifications I DON’T have and that kinda thing. I completely identify with those first two sentences of this post, but I gotta strive for me because I’m holding myself back! Bigger and better, sister, that’s what’s in store for us if we truly BELIEVE IT!

I believe it! I believe it!! Your blog is so wonderful and I am not-so-secretly totally obsessed with you, your ADORABLE fiance, and pending nuptials. I see big things for you my dear. Lets remind one another to think positively? Because, truly, we are amazing, right? And we deserve amazing opportunities to come our way? I believe it to my core.

A-N-Y-T-I-M-E. I totally believe that I’ve manifested all of the goodness into my life that I enjoy so much everyday, but it’s funny how when I’m nervous or anxious about something I never remember that I have the power to control my experiences. Sometimes you just need someone else to tell you how powerful you are. And you, Miz, are truly powerful. Thanks for stopping by. xo.
