Happy Valentines Day marzipanlings!
I won’t lie. I LOVE valentines day. I am generally a little gushy shell of a girl filled to the brim and overflowing with good intention and emotion, so a day devoted to love and smushy activities and candy and romance just tugs at my little heart strings. I could care less about how commercial it is. I could care less about the naysayers that say they want to tell others they love them year round and not just on a designated day. I say – DO IT ALL. Tell people you love them every five minutes if you want to. Yay!
So today’s body loving blogosphere is divided in two parts, the first are my favorite VALENTINES DAY finds (because it’s never to late to be your own valentine by spending some quality time with your computer and favorite bloggers):
- Una Bella Vita A Beautiful Life, Valentines Day
- Pinch My Salt, Heart-Shaped Cinnamon Rolls
- Gala Darling, 100 Ways You Can Start Loving Yourself Right Now [MUST READ]
- definatalie, Be Awesome To Each Other and How To Have A Cringe Free Valentine’s
- Sugarbutch Chronicles, My Hands Are My Heart
And, because the internet stops for NO holiday, the best of the rest:
- The Fat Lazy Guy reached his weight loss goal today, after an unbelievable amount of 285.4 pounds lost. And his post about it is pretty special. I’d recommend watching the movie too.
- For my loves going through break ups – and there are a few of you out there, Em & Lo tell you how to get over a break up in 10 easy steps. Not sure about “easy” when it comes to breakups, but Em & Lo rule.
- Check out this FANTASTIC post by MM reader Sui over at cynosure – how to eat as enjoyably, healthily, and sanely as possible.
- I just started reading Pink of Perfection, and have been loving it. If you’re up north, especially in the snow epicenter of DC check out her 50 Reasons to Love Winter.
- Feministing lovingly shared the feminist take on that absurd Dodge Charger Commercial. It’s gone viral, but if you live under a rock and haven’t seen it yet – do it.
- The Big Fat Blog has a fantastic post up this week about what to do if your kid is sneaking food. Resonates. On. So. Many. Levels. And, great for parents who do not know how to talk to their kids about weight/eating/life.
- Needed this so badly this week! Check out Yes and Yes’ The Art of Doing. Oh yes.
- And just in case you know me and you routinely laugh at my green smoothies. [I know you do, don't lie.] Read THIS article about the anti-cancer effects of green vegetables. And run out and get some kale. Not necessarily in that order.
I got on facebook this morning, and an old friend of mine had a status posted which said “happy whole, halved or healing hearts day everyone” and I loved that more than words can say, so thats what I want to leave you with. Got to go smooch C and watch a requisite vday svu marathon or something of the like.
xoxo.
