Good morning marzipanlings and WELCOME to new readers. If this is your first time to MM, body loving blogosphere is a weekly compilation of my favorite body image and other magical posts of the week, coming to you every Sunday(ish). And, as always, if you have read something fantastic that you think should be on this list, but I’ve somehow overlooked, please email me at medicinalmarzipan@gmail.com or leave it in a comment below!
- The always wonderful Mary at A Merry Life wrote, Still Obese But Not Stopping, about not letting her weight stopping her from doing anything, which is fantastic. AND, I won’t lie, I have been paying her blog special attention lately because I just think that her relationship with The Fat Lazy Guy is ADORABLE, and they have a trans-continental romance. And they are about to meet up for the first time. Enough said.
- Arvan over at sexgenderbody alerted our attention to the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference, which unites young feminists with top feminist advocates in really awesome and interesting fields. Totally worth attending if possible.
- YourTango has an article up this week about starting your relationship anew in the new year, which was really interesting and though provoking, falling under the category of very important and worthwhile relationship maintenance, something I think is CRUCIAL to every good relationship.
- In a blog I recently started reading, Eating Journey, (she started the exposed movement – which has traveled like wildfire and is beautiful), Mish poses the question “How’s Your Relationship With Food?” in a great post.
- Feministing reported this week about whether or not sleep is a feminist issue, which includes a great discussion of sleep from a gendered perspective.
- your wishcake shared a wonderful to-do list for 2010, and her site and etsy shop are just so cute and wayyyy worth checking out.
- Susan at Trout Towers posted a piece entitled, dear anonymous, which she tackles one of the crucial issues of blogging – how much to share and how that is received by her audience. For the record, I her writing is so thoughtful/hilarious, I love it when she shares.
- If you haven’t checked out Resolve to Evolve, DO it. Particularly this post, which I loved, Once you pop…
- Natalie at definatalie.com is a wonderful body acceptance blogger, and this post, My Couch to 5k: the beginnening, is wonderful.
- I love The Demoiselles, and this post, Pride & Self-Predjudice, is hilarious.
- Also, I am newly following Already Pretty and it is a wonderful blog about fashion and learning to love yourself. Highly recommended, and am also super thankful for her link love earlier this week.
So, if you have been reading MM for a while, you’ll notice that this body loving blogosphere is in a new format, what do you think? Better? Worse? And if you’re a new reader, or if you have loved me for a long time but have never subscribed, please do! Become my facebook fan for blog updates via fb or subscribe in your reader/email.
And as always, if there is something you are looking for and wishing I would write about, let me know!
xox.
