HOLIDAY body loving blogosphere

Well marzipanlings, how were your holidays?? After many tears and breakdowns about the pressure of the holiday season, I had a FANTASTIC Christmas cooking and eating delicious things in the comfort of my pajamas surrounded by loved ones.  There are few things that I hate worse than events that require frantic kinetic energy and the compulsory illusion (read: insanity) of having a really good time. What is it about these days that makes my brain short circuit and completely shut down?! I think it’s a pisces thing.

Other holidays that fall in this category are: Halloween (eek! creative and/or sexy costuming) and New Years (plans/no plans/kiss/no kiss). It seems so scary to me those moments when we are expected to be lit up, charismatic, sexy, lovable and popular. Maybe it’s because I can so vividly remember the awful alternate: I am not popular. My cell phone is not ringing with loved ones wanting to hang out. No one wants to smooch me. Ultimately: I am a social failure. For this reason MM will be debuting a two part series this week: Learning to Love Yourself Even When You Feel Freaking Disgusting. So stay tuned!

Anywho. The internet was slow rolling this week due to lovely relaxation and holiday indulgence, which I MORE THAN SUPPORT, because hey, blogging is a tough job and sometimes even all-mighty bloggers need a vacation. But that does not mean there are no delightful posts worth reporting, so here we go:

AND, courtesy of Miss Gala Darling‘s Love Letter To The Universe, a 2009 Marzipan year in review:

1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?

Traveled to a new place (vieques), made a home there and found a job and new winter family. Moved out of my dad’s house, and into a BEAUTIFUL little slice of heaven that is warm and colorful and filled with love. Applied to grad school, five to be exact.
