body lovin’ homework: WEEK SEVEN

by Marzipan on September 3, 2009 · 0 comments

Hello my body loving readers.

Whilst I am simply the tardiest blogger as of late, I assure you I am now in FULL RECOVERY from my pathetic illness and am through with being too smoochface with my sweetheart on our one year anniversary (yesterday), and now am back (for real). And just in time to give you the newest homework assignment!

This week is a bit of a departure from preceding weeks, but I think that it is very important and not only because I am very curious about what is going on in each of your body loving journeys. I believe that in an effort to love ourselves more thoroughly and make peace with our bodies through writing, performance of written material is necessary. It is scary and often difficult, but there is something unbelievably liberating about publicly sharing your most honest words about difficult topics.

Thus, the assignment for WEEK SEVEN is:

  • Polish one piece of writing that you’ve done throughout the course of these homework assignments and share it. If you are feeling really brave, you can share it here, anonymously or not in whatever format you choose (videocast, word document, collage etc. etc.) And if you are feeling not so brave (or more, depending) you can choose to share it with someone in your immediate life. I cannot express enough the complete and utter rewards of sharing fully in big, bold gestures. This is the hardest to do, but it totally pays off.

Send anything that you wish to share to medicinalmarzipan@gmail.com or attach in a comment here. Please please feel encouraged to participate, no matter how rough or crazy or inconsequential you may find your contribution! And as always, if you need more personal one-on-one encouragement, email me.

xox.
