Happy 2009 loves.
As I have been obsessively cultivating and nurturing my google reader (after a post from the amazing miss gala darling about HER google reader, and of course then i had to get one too), I have found several superb new body-loving posts to celebrate the new year!
Hopefully you will find them just as inspiring and lovely as I did, and they will assist you in fostering even greater levels of self love and body acceptance in your life in 2009.
- love love love the new blog I’ll Follow the Sun, which is the home of MANY body-loving posts (and seemingly the promise of many more to come!), my favorites include: “LOVE revolution“, “Resolve to be the best you possible.. Right now“, and “Reframing (literally).”
- because body-loving includes body maintenance and safe sex-positive practices: Daily Bedpost, “New Year’s Body Resolutions“
- newly following and found beautiful post, “Personal History“, at jen larsen (dot) net, where I ALSO found a wonderful wonderful post, “Naked: apologizing for your body” also found at the (sadly) recently deceased Elastic Waist… However, still great for remarkably insightful archives.
- old favorite, and still excellent, Breaking the Mirror, “Planning for a new year” and “The chubby kid“.
- and always, Jezebel, with some interesting and provoking news posts, my favorites this week were, “Gender bending: Where have all the tomboys gone?” and “Crap column from a dude: Dennis prager still thinks women should just give it up already.”
